Ever had thoughts about changing the world? Making a difference? Leaving an impact, a legacy?

I’ve heard the following saying many times:

I Wanted to Change the World.

When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.

I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.

When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.

Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.

The way I read this is that in order for me to change the world, I have to change first for the better. I have to become a better man, a better husband, a better step-father, a better son, a better brother, a better friend, a better leader and even a better foe!

Interestingly enough, our real estate industry is changing quite a bit lately with technology.

When Apple rolled out it’s “Think Different” campaign years ago, this was the original saying that launched it.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

I want to be a part of the change that will change our industry. I want to be in on the ground floor to where I feel my commitment made a difference for our industry and ultimately the world! In the next few weeks, Kelle, Keller Williams Realty’s Artificial Intelligence will roll out many new updates including neighborhood specific live data on the mobile device. My embracement of learning new technology can put more money in buyer agents' income, help listing agents take more listings, help agents determine where to farm next, the list is endless in the difference it can make!
