“In the game of life, nothing is less important than the score at halftime.”
~ Andy Andrews

Every time I hear the word halftime, it takes me back to my athletic days in locker rooms with a fiery personality and motivational thoughts. It was always that moment to reflect, course correct and re-motivate us to go out and win! Some speeches were better than others however there was always a pause and reset.

Starting off 2017, you more than likely set some great goals for yourself. A great quote by Michael Jordan is, “You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.” What does that mean? People say that you have to set goals so high in order to achieve them you have to become a different person. I believe what Jordan is saying is that he expects great things for himself and expects to become the person necessary to accomplish those things. It’s a journey to accomplish your goals; halftime is just the moment, the pause, to reflect on your journey.

Naturally June 31st is the 0:00 on the buzzer for the first half of our year in business. We head to our conference rooms (modern day locker room) and decide to reflect, course correct and re-motivate to go out and win.

It’s hard to be the coach and the player at the same time. It’s hard to be in the trench and see an overview perspective. It’s hard to motivate yourself when you are tired from the first half. Consequently, we need great people in our lives to be on our journey to accomplish great things! Sometimes it’s a Coach; sometimes it’s a Team Leader; sometimes it’s a Great Friend.

Who in your life sees you at the finish line with your arms raised in triumph?

Who believes in your possibilities more than you fall to your limitations?

Mindset……The Plan…….Execution

“Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.”
